Box Hill North Olympic Day!

Box Hill North Primary School's Olympic Day started with our opening ceremony. The home country Greece, followed by all the other countries, walked into the gym waiting for the Olympic Torch to arrive. Before the Olympic Torch arrived we said our Olympic Oath and sang the National Anthem of Australia. The day was sunny and quite HOT!! The children of Box Hill North Primary School were enjoying their Olympics Day. We were put into 10 different countries where we all played some Olympic type games. These included  - Tennis ball Sprint, Shuttle Relay, Shot put (with bean-bags), hocket dribble, a steeple chase and a whole lot more. At the end of the day we sat in our countries and cheered on the sprinters. Finally we had a closing ceremony and the winning countries were announced. In equal third place came Japan and UK, in second place came Italy and in first place was Germany. It was a really great fun day.
